Team Canada/USAThis hockey game is a nail biter. Can’t believe the US scored in the last few seconds and now we are going into overtime. My stomach is in knots. Both teams playing so well. I normally don’t watch much hockey, just a smidgen here and there, but I’m missing Don and he’s at the game and he LOVES hockey, so I found myself turning on the TV to watch the game. I find his Olympic mania is rubbing off. Just got an email from my friend Diana. She said she is now a hockey widow. You see, when they came up to visit, my husband turned her husband on to the game. It’s quite late over there in England. So nervous about this overtime. Hope it goes well for the team (the Canadian one of course)! I’m eating WAY too much candy. Shouldn’t have brought the bag of Holland mints upstairs with me. Twenty more minutes of overtime. Sheesh. Anything can happen. Team Canada was so close, a few more seconds was all that was required. Hopefully they can score early on so I won’t be on such pins and needles. Part of me says, don’t watch, it’s way too stressful. Wouldn’t want to have a heart attack. Have to remind myself to breathe. Okay, I’m not sure how much time of a break they have, but I’m figuring we must be close. Bye everybody. Posted by Meg Tilly on Sunday, February 28, 2010 in |
